For us 2007 has been an eventful year of both joy and sadness.
It will forever be the year remembered for Hugo getting diagnosed with PRA. Our hearts broke for this lovely boy who is now slowly going blind. The support from friends both near and far was a great comfort! Thank you so much, all of you! Although now having only partial vision, Hugo is so far managing remarkably well. In part due to the companionship of our wonderful Californian boy, Puffy! Puffy is Hugo's greatest admirer, never straying far from his idol's side! The two of them have become inseparable, and are such sweethearts!
It has also been a year with many happy occasions, including several exciting new arrivals to the kennel, most recent of which was the stunning male Ch. Fantastik Kashmir Bah! We cannot thank Nataliya enough for entrusting us with this BIS and group winning young male! We are very much looking forward to showing him in 2008, and have high hopes for what he can bring to our breeding program.
The youngsters Stormblåstens Rose Tattoo from Finland & Walnut Rosa Thea from Poland also joined our increasingly international gang during the year and will be part of our 2008 show team! Another 2008 hopeful is Mille (Cipracrest's Blame it on Sunstreaker) out of our Puffy (Ch. Shida The Golden Light). We are indebted to their breeders for giving us these little gems!
We are looking forward to 2008 with much anticipation and with many plans! 3 litters are planned, the first due only in a few week, for as I am writing this Tia is 4 weeks pregnant with charming Chain (Ch. Mohawk Emale)!
We would like to end the year by wishing all our Crested friends from around the world a wonderful New Year with many joyous occasions!

Our first Christmas show was great fun!
Our veteran Hugo went BOB veteran again- so far undefeated in veteran class! He was also 3rd best male. Best Male and BOB was Hege's Mikimo. Big congrats!!
Our puppy Stormblåstens Rose Tattoo made her show debut and was second in her class. Another show newbie was Puffy's son Pete (Cipracrest Bang a Drum). Only 4,5 months old he showed his bum off and ended up BOS puppy!

Hugo is now 7 years, and made his debut in veteran class!

Whilst we spent the weekend at home with family (and sick dogs) others went to shows!
Ruff - Showcrest Always James Dean- owned and bred by Tonje Ailin Solheim of kennel Showcrest was shown Saturday and Sunday. Ruff is son of our Puffy (Shida the Golden Light) and Arielle (Casa Del Caboon's Arielle Charmgirl).
Ruff did all he was supposed to in the ring and ended up as 2.best male puppy both days. Sundday only beaten by Hege & June's lovely Mikimo (Solino's I'm Mr Mikimoto) - who later went on to win the Group and took BEST IN SHOW!

In addition Sirena (Sunstreaker Brand Name) has had her show début with a nervous owner/handler on the other end of the lead. Even though they did not get a placement their written critique was super:
"Correct constructed body, excellent head, elegant dark eye, correct ears, good neck and out-line, excellent quality skin, very promising". We look forward to seeing more of them in the ring.

First out was a black hairless male, then a pitch black puff male and finally a cream puff female, a copy of her mom.

Yesterday Puffy made his show debut here in Norway!
Judge Mona Selbach placed him as 2nd best male and commented on his fantastic coat quality and lovely movement.
We are very happy with the result of his first outing and are looking forward to his next show!
We would also like to congratulate Puffy's breeder Jennifer Young with her very first Dam of Merit with Am/Mex Ch. A Shimmer of Light N'Co. Shimmer's 5 champion offspring are, in addition to Puffy, Shida Tommy Terrific, Shida The Grand Pubah, Shida Keeper Of Stolen Hearts and Shida Golddigger.

Today Barbie had a ultrasound and it was confirmed tha shet is expecting! Now we hold our breaths and cross our fingers that there will be a little Puffy/Barbie son or daughter for us!

Optigen Clinic

Yesterday we had an Optigen clinic here.
Blood samples from 29 dogs are now underway to Optigen.
We tested 7 of our dogs, which will give us known status not only on all our breeding stock but also both our litters!
I would like to thank the breeders who partipicipated in this clinic and tested their dogs!
